Been round to a friend of a friend's house today,basically someone has had an accident and pooed on the carpet.Not a solid one if you know what I mean!!

Theyve done the usual and had a go with 1001 ect.

Its a cream PP and so i thought I might nbe able to get a result.Flushed out and applied StainPro and left on for 10 minutes and rinsed.There was a definite improvement but still stain slightly visible.

I told them to see how it looked when it dried.

They want me to go back in a week or 2 and clean entire carpet after some plastering.

Any chances of improving these stains on another visit?

Have had good results in the past with prochem coffee stain remover, leave for about 15-20 minutes and then cold water flush.

99% certain was PP.Usual matted flat pile in traffic areas you get with PP.

Didnt do burn test as fibres floated.

I thought it would extract out easily,but as I say they had been scrubbing with 1001.

Mix up something like oxibrite or energiser at 20g in 500ml of warm-ish water.  Fully dissolve it, apply liberally and then steam it with an iron, going very gently at first but getting a bit more heavier with the application of steam if it doesn't work straight away.  Machine running with hand tool, extract as soon as it fades off.

Would you use a towel under the iron or is it just a case of gently heating the energiser to speed up it's action, remembering that it is PP.

David I used to but the towel just gets in the way- you can't see what you're doing!  The iron should only be on synthetic heat setting, with steam on, so as long as you keep it moving it's fine.

Enzall will do it as already mentioned no need to mess about with irons

David a hair dryer will not get as hot as an iron unless you have it almost touching, but the problem is it dries off the solution you've just applied!

MD I'm presuming that all the pre-spray/extract chemistry options have been exhausted before the oxidising route
