Our chance to influence an App for window cleaners
« on: October 31, 2012, 01:56:30 pm »
I have come across something I would like to share with you all. Using a specific Cloud based App. We have an opportunity to get something that exactly fits all of our needs in real time.....

Don is ready to build what you need most out of your window cleaning business software.... read the full story here;

http://www.windowcleaningmagazine.co.uk/blog/just-the-app-window-cleaners-have-been-looking-for%E2%80%A6-come-and-join-in-with-discussing-our-industry-needs/

What would you like your software to do that it does not already do? Or is there something you liked about one software that is  not included in another.

If your happy with your current software or dont use software because you have a book or its in your head, that is cool. I want Don to complete this project so that I can order my app asap.....

I guess this would mean I have to supply a nice shiny new smart phone for each of my lads to use, therefore 3 or 4 new contracts at £xx per month. so on top of the £10 for the software i cant see it being cost effective.

Also, would it mean employees having access to all my data on their phones?  :o

i might be jumping the gun here but many months ago i posted a thread about making our contact with customers paperless ie completion slips i think this  could be a way
of getting to this stage
by using the app we set up a notification to customers that we have cleaned date cost etc
i see a lot of potential here

Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

Answer i use Aworka which has a mobile app chris is trying his hardest to get everything everybody wants intergrated on his software both the mobile app and the version i use on my laptop so i will not switch as chris has just about cracked it .

And i would say it would have be something spectacular to beat Aworka > Mike

It does not have to be that complicated and I guess we can design the settings. You decide a suggestion and it goes in the pot. Very reason for this topic. Thanks matey :)

Thanks buddy. That means software only and not Cloud. I guess we can say that some users might want to do it this way :) thanks for the input...

Thats great. Did you have any input into Chris's software? Can customers log in on a separate free app or can your crew members discuss a prospect jobs on site with you in the office in real time including exchanging pics to seal a deal. These are the types of things that would suit me and some others and we are trying to establish what else we need. I am not comparing Aworka simply saying this is being developed now, you can have a say. If you have Aworka that is cool and I respect you for sticking with awesome service :)

If employees are quoting jobs you can bet your bollox we clean something similar, most new quotes in the field are on the same street on the same day , how easy do u want it?
Anything odd you would wanna quote yourself anyway.
Can't see the reason to send photos to seal deal.= your custy = £10 ,  next doors = £10 if same style. Coneys add £5 minimum

Bobplum providing you have custys email address you can email an invoice using www.aworka.com   which would work just the same as your suggestion.

Lee no i did not have any input into Aworka but when you sign in to Aworka you have the option to leave feedback or post suggestions that other people can vote on and chris will update his response on Aworka or twitter when new fuctions are in the pipeline .

Such as the time off function for instance which he expects to get up and running in time for Xmas with a lot of people been off at the same time .

And why cant you just use text or email on your phone to send pics and price jobs surely to intergrate it into a mobile app it would be a big job and would possibly not get used that much anyway  which would be a waste of time and money in the development process .  ;D ;D  Mike

Think bigger then. Sam goes out quoting for me as well as myself. I just quoted a school worth over 2k. It was extremely complicated and real time messaging and pic facilities would be vital for quick sell. We got the job BTW  ;)
