So, as the title says really. anyone putting there oil filled rads in the vans tonight? its gonna get down to 5c in the midlands, and the margin of error from the met office in my experrience could mean it freezes.

I am in scotland and the forecast is 0 degrees for 8am and no rad in van tonight, I will wait until it forecast -2 to -5

throw a quilt over them if you are concerned, I don't keep ro or di on van so I see where you are coming from to be worried

I have been looking at this

I intend to fix it to the side wall of the van, connect it to LPG bottle via a quick connect valve set the temp control when it starts and press the go button.

This way the heater will only fire up when the temp drops to what I want before the heater starts, when the inside of the van gets to the temp the heater stops and goes into standby mode.

What do you think??

But I also have to look at the other options available to me and I used but have happened in the last few years.



I get home at night and cannot park?

The weatherman gets it wrong, normal weather forecast, but -20 comes at 2am?

the other problem I have is, if it snows I cannot get home home, I can leave because its downhill, but I cannot get back.

If I have a supply of water off site and flat ground, the I carry on working.

After a good few years of being wfp , trying a lot of diffrent heaters , wasting electric during the night , IM now going to stick to what is best AND THATS stay at home if the weathers too bad , your customer will still be there the day after .
