Hi can anyone give me a clue as to wot tax I could expect to pay on say 19,000 and when it needs to be paid by ? And am I wright in thinking will need to start paying 6mths in advace

hi if thats 19k to be taxed on? ie after your allowence expensis etc
about 5k for the year

thats taxable i mean so i have taken away your allowence and expensis if thats your total profit including your allowence of £7475 then about 3k

-6,000 = 13,000
-7475 = 5525
25% =1381 to pay ( i think
)

Use this above
Bear in mind that if this is for year end 2012 then you will need to pay some in January and some in July £720 each with balancing payment
£1440 in January if this is your first payment. (this covers April 2011-March 2012)
If it is then the below is also needed to be paid
Another half if this is your first year 'on account' (which covers April 2012 - Sept 2012) Then the other half in July (this is the other half 'on account Oct 2012- March 2013)
