hi all,

         i like to upgrade my 100 psi pump to 200 psi ive got a alltec aqua 50 twin vac,  has anyone done this? will it fit? what pump should i go for and were to buy?

from what i can rember all the smaller pumps from 50 psi-200 were the same size just more psi alltec sell a 200psi pump flowjet i think

ill try them, i never thought they would do a 200 because they dont fit them in there machines,  i think a 200 would be perfect for the little aqua.

i know they do one because my mate brought one coulpe moths back,they used to fit them in thier machines dunno y they stopped,try www.ashbys.co.uk as well , and if flowjet dont do one seach a dealer for shureflo pumps

They stoped using the 200psi because it was unreliable and kept braking down.

They have put the 135psi back in their advantage machines.

il have to ask them about it, dont want a unrelieble one, higher ones(300-400) are ok arent they? is it just 200 then?

anything over 200 is going to hav seprate electric motor so they are pretty good as they hav less parts to go wrong, thet are tot diffrent to the lesser pumps and are hefty bits kit, touch wood i ve had them in all my machines for last six years and never ad one let me down, i only no of two makers of these but there  are prob more they are cat pumps and pump tec and usally come in kit form ie pump ,motor,gauge.press reg etc ,the first cat pumps i think make lot truckmount pumps, alot of the smaller pumps pack up if u are useing hight heat a lot, but the bigger pumps can handle lot higher heat , i dont no how big the alltec machine is so dont no if one would fit in it, u also need a bypass pipe on them sending the water back to tank when not pressing the trigger as they are not supply and demand type pumps, if u get one these pumps u wonder how u ever cleaned  before

hi yes these are pump tecs 205 with masterclean name put on them, if u can aford it get the 400psi

thanks gary, il ring them for the sizes see what will fit,  and check if one lead will run it with the 2 vacs.

yes it will run with one lead as my ninja runs two vacs and 400psi pump on one lead,and yes they are a lot money but in this game every thing is dear as hell

Do you use diffrent Jets with a 400psi pump and would you need to check your hose rating?

Only 135 pumps running at 100 will fit an Aqua- there is not room for anything else. As said above, the 200 pumps were so unreliable Alltec stopped using them-- I have two in my shed now taking up room. They run for 10 mins then stop.
I doubt that their induction motored pump will fit an Aqua, this will give about 90 when using a twin jet wand. If you want higher pressures you are looking at serious pumps with the extra weight and space involved.

u might hav to play around with jets to get it right, as for hoses it will say on t what pressure rating it is i be very surprised if most hoses are not good for 400 psi my hoses which came with old machines of mine with 250 psi pumps are rated 2250psi 250 f

i think your right gary, have you seen how thick the rubber is on solution hoses, theyll take way abovr 400, and i know my tools are rated high enough,  with regards room,  i ve got 180mm x 130mm x 270mm  enough?   what size is a 300?

what u got in there at min? 1 vac two vacs? and small pump? heater ?   the higher power pumps are not that big its more the motor , giv me hour i will look at one my ashby ones and measrure the pump and motor for u mate, p,s the ashbys ones use a motor thats not as bulky

the whole pump and motor is 9inches long,5 inches wide,9 inches deep the pump sits on top of ashby ones(which i would go for, phone them for a price to include pump, motor, press reg,gauge and hoses and fitting u need
 id say looking at it it take 2 hous to fit, the motor is held down by 4 10ml bolts  couple wires out of it, u need to make a hole to put your reg on outside and hole in your frsh tank for bypass hose apart from that its conect in coming water hose to pump ,connect out going to your sol connecter , there easy lol
p.s u dont hav to av gauge if u dont want one,some peopl recon they get better pressure without them

       i spoke to someone at carpet world, i dont think 300 will fit, but 200 will, apparently thats 200psi at the wand not the pump head and what i got (100psi) is at the pump head so only about 70psi at the wand, so it should still be a big inprovement its a brush pump but needs a bypass back to the sol. tank, thought that was the induction type.  i been told its relieble so i just cant see why alltec dont put it in there for an optional upgrade on a new machine?
because 100s a bit low is nt it?

I can't understand why manufacturers still supply machines with 100 psi pumps as standard,this really is the bare minimum to work with,particularly upstairs with 2 x 7.5 mtr hoses connected,you lose a lot of solution pressure with a 100psi.
I think 200 should be the standard these days,I think the price difference between 100-200 would be negligible,I have been thinking of fitting an uprated pump to my Prochem steempro 2000,but not sure of which one to go for.-John

they sell a lot of these low spec machines to new people getting into the game,  as myself did  i did not know what diff cleaning would make with a 65 psi machine or 400psi  2 stage vac or 3 stage heat or no heater i just wanted to get out thier and clean carpets and we didnt hav the internet as it is now for seaching machines or forums like this, but saying that they will still shift hundreds of low spec machines even now
