Is it difficult to cheange the standard 7" motors to the 5.7" in the extracta exel machines and will they work the same?

Hi mate I've just done mine, pretty easy really someone on here suggested doing it and gave me a link to eBay where I got the vacum motors. I'll see if I can find a link to the motors. I just bent the existing brackets on the excel so the new motors would fit, a trip to b&q and couple of plumbing joints later the machine was working perfect.

If you are going to replace the motors why don't you put in the 6.6 motors?

All you need then is a bigger pump at some point and presto you have a jag or a storm in Excell clothing!

Thanks very much.

There a lot cheaper than going back to Extracta for new motor.

will order 2 and do them at same time for the sake of £60.

Thank you.

Have just looked on ebay and there's only the 1200w version.

Will they still be ok and the right ones or do I need 1500w or the ones in the previous link?

These are the ones listed at the moment.

The 1200w has the same CFM but less lift /suction
Im sure the Jackson Spares guys will have the 1500w listed again soon
