Persian 100% wool rug
« on: October 13, 2012, 01:00:48 pm »

I'm surveying a carpet cleaning job for a potential customer on Monday evening. She has asked if i could  also price the cleaning of a Persian 100% wool rug. Other than using a woolsafe product, and keeping moisture to a minimum, any other tips please?

Cheers

Mark

Make sure your insurance is up to it.

If you take it away you will need to be insured for transportation and storage not just treatment risk.

The best tip I can give you is find someone this weekend who will clean it for you and show you how to tackle it, then give them  the money. It will be well spent.

It might be perfectly straightforward but may well not be.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

If you're scared of it, the chances are you won't clean it properly.  Definitely a line of work you need some skills/training/experience in if you're intending to go down that route.  Can be very profitable if you set about it the right way ;)
