BACS Payment Letter
« on: January 29, 2006, 03:03:00 pm »
Does anyone have a letter used to request payment for commercial w/c via the BACS system.

Our largest school contract via a local authority has recently started to pay us this way and want to get all my other commercial customers to pay this way too.

Not only does it save any waiting period, trips to the bank etc it will save us several hundred pounds a year in 'Cheques paid in' charges from the bank.  >:(

I will, of course post a copy in the documents to download section when its done so we can all benefit.

Thanks,

Sarah

PS : I have also posted this in the w/c section to get as manydifferent approaches as possible - hopefully then I can produce a really good one suitable for all cleaning sectors.

No need to send out letters (that costs money ;D) just put you bank details on your invoice some thing like this

Cheques made payable XXXXXXXXX
BACS  PAYMENT BANK NAME
A/C XXXXXXXXXXXX sort code CC-CC-CC

It works for me!

Its simple-- if you have a lot of payments online etc open a separate account just for that. Arrange no overdrafts and then transfer the money each day or so to your proper account. Even if phishers get on the 'in' acccount they will not get much and cannot get more than is in it.

Yes to a point, believe Camelot’s private bankers no names mentioned, a staff member had its fingers in the till so to speak! By the way 18years in a bank can still remember certain bank details, don’t think they would have changed, but security would have I hope!

For this inside info I will send you a cheque and when cashed I will get all the info of your account.
