I was doing a resin change over tonight and by accident I flicked resin in my eyes "BOY" this stuff stings your eyes I just hope I can see in the morning..

serious response now though from someone who has had hospital visits for foreign bodys removed from the eye

 
1) If youcan feel it when you blink pull the eyelid out ove down, over the bottom eyelip and release, if you do it right and the reson bead is stuck to the inside of the eyelid this techneque shud scrap it off onto the lower eye lid

if it works you must carefully was you face to get rid of resin from around the eye

2) Eye bath

My wife worked in an eye unit for many years. Please do not rub it, get down a n e as soon as. Better safe mate.

I got some in my eye a few years ago. Some resin was on the back of my hand and I rubbed my eye and as avo says, it don't half sting like heck and the pain is instant as soon as you've done it.

Each morning when I woke up, that eye was blurred for a while but seemed to improve after a shower.

About a week later when it was irritating like hell and my eye was becoming very sensitive to sunlight and then daylight and it felt like I had the start of a cold, I went down the eye hospital. (I don't know if all hospitals have an eye hospital but Brighton does)

It took less than a minute to remove 3 bits of resin from my eye and was completely painless.

The lady said that I was fortunate that I hadn't scratched the eye, considering the amount of time passed, but I did have the start of an infection that might or could have caused problems.

What was odd was the drops they put in my eye made my snot go bright orange/yellow for about half an hour afterwards.

Now I'm very very very carefull to wash resin of my hands as it's not toxic to touch but get it in your eyes and you'll know all about it.
