Tricks of the trade
« on: October 08, 2012, 05:17:51 pm »
I don't have many tricks of the trade up my sleeve (yet), but this one impresses my customers:

It's just a nice thing to chat about as you leave a (hopefully happy) customer.

I'm posting this in the hope some of you can share similar...

Never ever ever even if you've had 10 of them turn down a drink you never know when you'll get your next one and it could be a long day.

I've even discreetly tipped them out if I
don't really want one. Never ever refuse one though.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

Here is a tip....

Book in work at a good price..... Get £5 deposit per room at the time of booking, with the balance to be transfered into your bank as soon as the job is completed.....
Get a local splash and dash merchant who charges £5 per room to go and do the job.... Pay splash and dash man at the end of the day...

keep net profit....

 ;D ;D ;D
Everyday this forum slips further from God.  :'(

I think that ice cube trick is down the same way David Blain made the Statue of Liberty disappear.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

Its an easy trick to do. They just take the video of the carpet before they place the block under the leg to make the indentation, then edit it as if it was after the ice has relaxed the carpet back.

Heat and cold can help change the memory, and recover the shape/lay back on fabric and carpet in some situations, but heavy indentations in carpets (and mainly underlay) will take many months to recover its memory back, if ever at all.

David, in your "11 point" video, what were the round sliders that you placed under the furniture legs? You made it look easy.

The brown round sliders are better than the rectangular white/blue ones (IMHO).
I've got 16, which seems enough.
