I have a ''Liquid logic pump flow controller'' from Gardiner's that I am setting up with a Flojet pump.
I have wired it up in a box but when I switch it on, the pump doesn't work. I have tested the voltage coming from the controller and it is off and intermittently on corresponding to the 'red PS' light being lit and briefly going off.
What am I doing wrong....Again.
Just to re-state the basics:
The Red and and Black wire from the controller gets wired in to the positive and negative terminals on the battery. The brown wire from the controller gets wired into the wire coming from the pressure switch and the blue wire from the controller gets wired into the other wire from the the pump body.
If this is all correct then the most likely reason that the pump is not working and the PS message is showing is one of the following:
1. Check that the pump is able to pump freely - make sure that if you have a hose connected that it does not have an end-stop connector on it which is preventing the flow. If it is able to pump freely then go onto step 2
2. The controller needs the flow rate turning up. To do this press the UP button until it gets to about 80. This may trigger the pump on. If it does not then go on to step 3
2. The controller needs the calibration setting increasing. To do this press the Up and Enter button until 'CAL appears. Then increase the setting value until the pump turns on. This would usually be set at about 30-40. Once the correct value has been reached then press the enter button to set the value.
