I was looking for the same and the last 3 weeks I have been trying Aworka and have to say that first impressions were very good and worksheets view very well on an iPhone

We have had a few problems with info not being in the right place like customer refrences but that was soon fixed once we realized where we had to put info into the customers details in order for it to display correctly on the iPhone

but and this is a big but the reports on the desktop dont display all of the days activity correctly they display all work done and all payments but debts that have been paid seperatly dont  get included in the days summary so when we try to reconcile the cash at the end of the day there are discrepencies

Even this morning we have not worked but payments have been made but looking in the reports the payments are there but when you look in the days summary there is no activity

this is something I have been looking to email them about

so in I think at the moment its not worth £10 per month per user

Dave.

I'll stick with George & pocket george on a £10 palm for now - and it has the up to date debt list

So that dont work then ?
I want something where i can book my work in on my phone and do it after each job.
Also if a custy rings me i can book in or change a date on my phone.
Also see my debt lists on my phone when im out and about.
Somebody must have a piece of software that will do this.

Cloud based software will do what you want.

However im after something i can have on a tablet to carry with me when i quote as it takes time after the job to input and then let the customer know when there next clean will be. Having it on a tablet will make it much easier.

I know i could get a netbook, but they are larger than a tablet and harder to hide in the van whilst working. I want a 7" tablet just for work purposes and that doesnt have to rely on a 3g network or wifi as some of my work is out in the sticks.

Problem is the only software out there runs on windows and windows tablets are alot more than andriod. It is possible to have a dual booting android tablet but the cost gets to the same price as a standard windows tablet

cloud based means that all your info is stored on a sever that you access through the internet. Meaning that if you cannot get to the internet via wifi or 3g then you cannot access your round

Been using Aworka for a few months and find it fantastic , It would be great if i could access it via my android phone but that is still in development  at the moment .

But that is not essential at the minute as i double check my workload each night for the following days work .

A few replies about Aworka:

Chris: I'm happy to explore improvements to worksheets to show everything you require. It sounds sensible to include standalone payments received on a particular day, so I will look into that.

Blue Frog Systems: Aworka mobile is a bit different from most other web apps in that it works offline. Provided you have sync'ed your work before you leave base, you can work all day without a 3G or WiFi and sync when you return.

Mike: Aworka mobile does now work on Android phones, Windows Phone 7, BlackBerrys running 0S6 and the iPhone.

Chris, so if i had an android tablet i could access my round in full ?

What i mean is that i could add a job and details whilst im at the job and give the new customer their first clean date by checking my round ?

Blue Frog Systems: To create a new customer you would need to access your account via the full aworka website, which would be the default for a tablet anyway. The downside, is that the full site does require an internet connection to work.

Having said that, adding new customers via the mobile app is going to be possible in the near future.

Mike: Just go to aworka.com in your phone's browser and you should see the mobile app login screen. Once logged in and your data has been downloaded, you should see the main menu, where you can access days from your planner and your debt list.

Note that you need an internet connection to log in, and also when you want to Sync your data back to your online account (there is a Sync button in the top left of the main menu screen).

frankyplayboy: If you email me your latest George backup.geo file (import@aworka.com), I can import your customers from that. You'll need to signup for a free trial if you haven't already so that I have an account to import into (aworka.com/signup).

Dani J: Do you have an aworka account? You need to sign up for a free trial account through the normal website before you can access it on your iPhone (aworka.com/signup. If you want to access the website on your iPhone, go to full.aworka.com).
