Any one been done in the for sale section?
« on: September 24, 2012, 06:53:56 pm »
Evening all,

As above the reason I ask I've bought loads of
Stuff of this forum especially over the last few months
And had nothing but a good experience with the sellers
And buyer I've dealt with.  So I have become trusting  ( out of character)
But one purchase I've made recently I've got a really
Bad gut feeling  that it ain't gona turn up :-\
The seller ain't local to me

So I would be interested if this has happen before?

Many thanks
Colin

I got done with a di vessel I sold a few years back, my own fault, he turned and only had enough cash for a tank I was selling and said he would return for the vessel another time, I stupidly said nah just take it and send a cheque when you can

I think I know what's happened (could be wrong) but I think he's sold it to you and invoiced somebody else by mistake.
I'll have another read on the better forum. Back in a mo.

Yep, he's invoiced a guy in Anglesy so if that's not you it's possible he's got the wrong bloke. The other guy asked about the pole and got a Paypal request for money even though he didn't agree to buy it.

Bit confusing because different user names get used elsewhere. Sorry if I've got it wrong though.

HMM strange !! luckily i insisted he set up a paypal so i can claim it back as i didnt want to do a bank transfer. he set up what seemed like a pretty dodgy paypal address but they said i can claim it back whatever if i dont get it, wonder how many people he's sold this imaginary pole to though?

Colin, what area code is that i'm not going to get stung calling that on my mobile am i?

Nar mate sounds like he's selling a non existent
Pole to as many people as possible..

I thought I was buying it from p1w1 until
I checked Saturday and noticed I'd read it wrong
Then I dawned on me.

He's invoiced a guy called Jay so if neither of you are that guy (who only enquired about the pole) then it sounds well dodgy).
