Been asked how much extra for third storey windows on a quote I put in.
I have searched here but can't find much.
I was thinking half as much again as for second storey i.e. if £1 per window second storey £1.50 for third storey.
Don't really think they will go for £2 per window (North East) but I'm sure some will say unless you ask you'll never know!!!!

I use wfp so it no extra hassle or time consuming to clean windows that are on the  ground, 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor windows.

This sort of pricing was commonplace with ladder cleaning for the simple fact it took longer to clean the windows, with wfp is really is not that much longer.

i find them better to do as in general you only do the back and the front a lot Dont have side windows so i charge the £10.00 min(3 bed semi)

I don't agree. Getting bird droppings off 2nd storey takes longer as it is impossible to appy the same pressure. With ground and 1st storey windows a person can scrub, but over that it is just a rub.

On a modern build you will be able to reach nearly all second floor windows with a 25' pole, but not 'guaranteed' with a standard 22' pole we usually use due the the ground sloping away from the buildings.

On older Victorian buildings you won't be 'guaranteed' to able to reach them with anything less than a 40' pole.

So we have a 40' pole on the van that we use for these jobs, but it maybe only gets used a dozen times a month. An accountant will argue that you need to charge extra for these higher windows as you need to recover the cost of the equipment needed to do the job.

This is what we do. We have a few ground and first floor flats we clean - one above the other and we charge more for the upstairs flat than we do the downstairs flat.

We also do several blocks of flats and we charge £5.00 each for all the bottom flats, £6.50 each for the first floor flats and £7.50 each for the 2nd floor flats. The 1st and 2nd floor flats have juilet balconies. We are also in the North East - flats are in Thornaby on Tees.
