I remember when the Elite poles first came out, the first published specs were NOT the ACTUAL specs & were not for some time!!!  ;)

Apparently the 26' is actually a 22' with an extension not designed for everyday use.

When is the proper 26' being released?

The 26 is an actual 26ft extended pole (+reach). The idea is to only extend it when needed and use the section below as the starting point for most everyday work. This adds superb balance to the pole in everyday use as most window cleaners only need a 26ft pole a small amount of time. The weight is greatly reduced and it gives you unbelievable reduced closed length enabling the user to clean in the most awkward situations with ease and reach higher all in one pole.

so is it the top or bottom section that youdont extend?

if its the top section, surly it would make the pole feel alot heavier theoretically you would be extending 2 sections which would add extra weight and make it fell heavy?

No not at all. Hence the term 'ultralite' it's a different way of doing things which works incredibly well. You treat the top section as a gooseneck for all intents, then, when you need it, extend. You have to see/use it to appreicate how well it works. No doubt a lot of reviews will be coming shortly to give you first hand (unbiased) info!

So there is a section at the top 4ft long thats only used when you need the full 26ft! Carrying weight at the top thats mostly not used, no matter how light, doesn`t seem user friendly unless i have missed something.

The exact opposite. All we have focused on is the user, you have effectively got the worlds shortest stack, longest reaching, easiest to use pole - in one! And if you don't need the full 26ft you can take out the section and replace it with the suppled quick release insert, but I doubt any one would bother. As said previous, need to see it in action.

Video and pics would be good.would have made sence to have had all info ready to hand once the pole was reviewed for the first time.

It seems a really odd way of doing things. Can't make it out at all, it would seem more sensible to add to the bottom rather than the top.
Interested to hear more but my initial interest seems to have dropped a notch.  :-\

So it is an extra top section that you put on when required? If you explain exactly what it is without the hyperbole you will find that window cleaners using a water fed pole all day every will know what you mean instead of having to guess.

Not a strange way of doing things.... Just different.

We have used the idea of adding section at the bottom, this is called a bigger pole!!  ;D

We also used the idea of adding a section at the top to add minimal weight with no addition to the closed length but giving users the option of an extra length...

The larger sizes will be rolled out over the next few weeks.... constant releases to look out for...

Quite simply if you don't like the "extra top section" idea then go for the normal pole and just use the quick release collar.

Stephen said it the best.... Look out for unbiased reviews, more videos from us etc...
