This is a post from John himself, please read it then follow the link below it to like the page, as some of you are aware, this is something that is very very close to my heart, THANK YOU for taking the time to read

The charity is registered SOC42871 and is probably one of very few children's charities which is completely overheads free!
The reason for this is that Kirsty was adamant that her work was carried out as a volunteer.
When she went to Africa she paid for her trip by working long hours on double shifts, she lived and ate with the orphans. But used her UK salary and wages to help feed and look after
the kids welfare.
Some charities have paid staff, with necessary massive overheads, they move mountains and do fantastic things, without them there would be tremendous suffering and the consequences around the world would be unimaginable. We thank them for the work they do and support them.
Kirsty had a personal view that charity in her eyes should be about giving time and that all money collected by her should be given to help the kids not a percentage after overheads had come out such as travel costs.
To this end people sometimes friends and relatives would give kirsty cash to put towards her flights etc but she kept it in a wee book documented it and instead worked hard often in restaurant kitchens to get the cash for her travelling expenses she would then use all the cash given to her as well as her earnings to buy food and provisions for the kids in her presence so nothing was lost through misguided intention.
On Kirsty's death her parents found 5 boxes of thank you letters from kids, doctors, volunteers and relatives of children she had helped in her short life Kirsty kept them she never disclosed them. In comparison she had one box of personal effects a pair of trainers some T shirts and trousers, she travelled light without material trappings.
When she asked for time off in the family business she would just say I need to go help my kids there's a summer camp in (Portsmouth, Glasgow wherever) she would drive the length and breadth of the UK to volunteer to nurse and care for kids she referred to any child in need of help as her kids. and so the Trust was named Kirstyskids to reflect this.
The Trust was set up by her parents and opened at a televised opening ceremony on 4th June 2011 by MP Dave Thompson
As we approach the second anniversary of Kirstys death her work lives on and continues to inspire others to help especially other children and to date the trust gives thanks to everyone. We have been able to raise an average £1,000 per month since her death. Every penny of which is helping the children who so deserve it from a specialist hospice bed to an extra dollop of fun. Your donations are used under the guidance of the leading charity experts to ensure it gets to where it is needed and that all of it is used not a percentage.
Thanks everyone for your support if you wouldn't mind joining my cause in support of Kirstys kids I would be so very greatful. Thank you Trust chairman John Bryden
