I’ve looked on some Carpet Cleaners Websites and they tend to give the impression they can remove all Urine Stains with a 100% Guarantee etc

I have to confess I have never achieved 100% short of getting a Stanley knife

So please please share the  knowledge I obviously lack

I have never been able to get them out of wool either, I've tried a few different professional products from local cleaning suppliers but none have worked as they claim.

Best I find I can do is put an acid spotter on which can reduce it sometimes but even then it's not but much.

Hot Enzall reduces it down (at the very least) most of the time, and depending on age and type of carpet can also remove the stain.

Cat and female dog urine seem to be the worst type of urine stain. Also if the customer has had a go.

Probably already been covered here and if so I'm sorry but has anyone tried the water claw?? I've heard that has some good results but I've never used one so I can't really comment.

The water claw is effective to saturate an area to remove the contaminate thus removing the odour. The stain is another kettle of fish.

They are nano fish. You pour them on the affected area from the kettle. allow them to dwell 15 mins. Once the have penetrated the fibres they start to push out the staining/contamination. It can then be absorbed using a couple of sheets of Plenty.

They then live on in the carpet just in case this area becomes stained again.

They only work with water from the east coats of scotland.

1, the dog or cat will usually wee in the same place multiple times

2, the result is that in many cases, the wee has penetrated the carpet backing, the underlay and underfloor to which the odour is non removable without throwing out the carpet, underlay and treating the underfloor with bleach.

3, if the animal has just urinated a little on a wool carpet or splashed it, it will usually dye the fibers 99% of the time unless it's stain resistant polyprop to which it may well come out.

4, Many dogs and cats pee on the carpets. Therefore it generates many enquiries from new customers who's animals have just trashed the carpet and want you to come to the rescue. 99% of the the time you wont be able to do anything but charge the customer for a wasted callout fee!

I reject most people who make these enquiries as it does nothing for your business or integrity and is a wast of time

we  went out to a blood stain yesterday wool carpet told her several times it wouldnt come out 100% she still insisted we try and even if it didnt it would feel cleaner , so thats probably why .

ps flushed area of blood with cold water (after she had used everything under the kitchen sink) then applied shockwave couldnt believe it all of it came out not a mark    left.

Ian, next one you get try this:

Put a tablespoon of whatever oxidiser you have into a trigger spray full of warm water (forward planning helps, to get it dissolved).  Apply liberally to the stain, then use a steam iron on low heat (silk temp.) to gently apply heat & steam.  Have your machine running so you can rinse through when you're there.

Doesn't work every time, depends on other variables but can be very impressive results achieved a lot more safely than liquid hydrogen peroxide, which is probably the next step if this doesn't work.  I removed an old irn bru stain out of a wool carpet like that yesterday

Anyone who guarantees to remove a stain is bonkers, there are far too many limiting factors at work to be able to offer that without bringing a whole world of grief onto your shoulders. Saying you can't guarantee it but will do your best usually satisfies most people.

Are these American websites?  If so 99% dont clean wool over there only nylon and ployprop.

If Uk sites are they reputable looking sites/companies.  If so give us a look.

The one I was thinking about was in Uk
and amarket leader in their area not Uk but when I checked the other day they apear to have removed the claim.

Although not claiming 100%  this is one that ives impresion they can but not what I was refering to orrionally

Going back quite a few years now,at the 81`conference of the NCCA at
Windermere I think it was,a leading council member discused using a
Hyperdermic needle and syringe and injecting the I assume the warp and
Weft strands that were affected and contaminated.Muat have `died a death`
Nothing ever came of it.I do know his name,other members too were familier
With this type of treatment.
Don`t know about foam backs and general tufted.

Anyone else heard of this type/kind of treatment for urine staines.It was to
Kill the bacteria that caused the odour.Nothing was said about discolouration.
