Do you mean 'Turmeric' ?

Spice used in cooking or in mustard.

If so Solvall wouldn't work.

What type of carpet is it on?

Try Chemspec Helpmate Coffee Stain remover, or Chemspec Spray N Go if it's not a wool carpet (both with caution)

Hi

I think you are stuffed!

Did a carpet a while ago with take away stains all over the place (student let)

Everything came out except for two yellow stains

Yep, tumeric!

It's a food dye, therefore carpet is dyed.

Heat transfer method sounds the best bet, can you post a picture and hopefully we can talk you through.

Hi all,

Sorry my mistake I thought it said tarmac!

Gotta get my eyes checked!

Had some joy with food dye stains using rust remover and coffee stain remover from prochem or microsplitter no.9 from solutions. Took a hard dried in blood stain out of a cream carpet last week the size of a dinner plate completely using no.9, customer over the moon and had 2 referal jobs worth £150 from her already.

Kind regards,
Jason.

Are you remotely aware of the pathogens that can be released into the air dealing with a dried blood stain ESPECIALLY of the size that you're describing!
Tyvek suit, goggles, mask gloves, booties. Should use a tub vacuum cleaner exhausted outside anything else will get platelets airbourne indoors. On completion of the job all outerwear should be bagged up and taken to local hospital for incineration.
If the person who deposited the blood has any form of blood illness - inhalation of any airbourne platelets can lead to your system absorbing said illness! It's that serious. :o

Obviously all this has to be accounted for within the job cost. To be honest, since I found out about this from Paul Pearce who was invited to a seminar on blood bourne pathogen dangers I wont clear blood. Just because you can't see it don't mean it's not there!

Sorry, Responding to Jason Hedges.

Tumeric. Forget it . I'ts not coming out. It's a vegetable dye. If the client is really that concerned there's a carpet redying course coming up in the spring. Get yourself on it.

I know that you drifted 'off topic' a bit  ;)  with reference to blood but it was a point well made

I got rid of a curry stain ......................once. There was that much crap on the carpet that the curry sat on the dirt rather than the carpet!!!!!!!!  ;D ;D ;D
