Advice needed
« on: August 23, 2012, 03:02:05 pm »
Hello

I need some advice regarding choosing a carpet cleaning machine.

Recently I've changed my business profile and now I focus purely on domestic customers.
Because I live in a town (Edinburgh) about 85% of all the jobs are flats.
The problem is that my main machine Airfelx Storm weights about 45kg.
If there is a job on ground floor or first floor there is no a problem but three jobs a day on second floor+ in Victorian style building without a lift is pure nightmare.
Now, I'm looking for a very PORTABLE (easy to carry up and down the stairs) and light (max 25kg) carpet cleaning machine which allows me to do a decent job. To be honest I know I will be downgrading but  average to good quality will be enough.
I was thinking about Sabrina Maxi 5010. The only thing that worries me is the fact it has just one engine.
I used to have Sensei from Ashby's so for comparison- is Sabrina better or worst than Sensei?

Any advice are more than welcome.

Edinburgh (Listeni/ˈɛdɪnbʌrə/ ED-in-burr-ə; Scottish Gaelic: Důn Čideann) is the capital city of Scotland and the seat of the Scottish Parliament. It is the second largest city in Scotland and the seventh most populous in the United Kingdom.

The Airflex Mini is easy enough to handle up and down stairs without too much trouble.

How much hose are you using? I've been over 125' 2" and that's a lot of hose straight up the centre of a staircase. I do a lot of third floor apartments in similar properties.
