£680 van insurance renewal!!

£680 insrance renwal! WHAT! "ive had a cheaper quote online" "ok Mr Saxon lets see what we can do...oh yes we can do this its £276 now" ... why not just just say that in the first place!

Wel it was on elephant.co.uk but i think the insurer is Gladiator. Vauxhal combo 1.7di, im 27 with 9 years no claims.

We've used Gladiator a few times and found them to very good in terms of pricing and customer service.

Oh yeh service has been good...just saying that the renewal price they gave me and then a phone call moe than halved it.

ehhhh yes lol window cleaners have it easy small vans cheap gear , cheap insurnce try running a truckmounted carpet cleaner and watch the pounds fly out of the window

Just had a quick look on my drive...theres defo a real van there, with real gear in and a real business. Mind you im not out to prove anything so maybe it isnt a real van or business after all.

Na yer awrite,a would rather stick to window cleaning and watch the pounds flyin into ma pocket if thats ok wi you.Does my Transit qualify for 'real van' status?it's only a SWB.

The same happened to me, they asked for £600+ then somehow magically got it down to £300......w****rs x

Insurance in th U K is such a total rip off. Other countries its less costly were there is much more risk of theft or collision and even HI jacking. The restriction on what we can do with our vans is tantamount to dictating how we must use our vans. Its a killer for a new business.I cannot stand insurance its about  time they were investigate as an industry and give the British public the value and service the pay so much for. They are a God unto themselves.

You must have one of these "real vans with real gear" at prices like that, sounds like yours is a alot more realer than anyone elses though.

lol ive seen the price of these wfp things there cheap as chips even the top end ones are  hey if your earning that much why you moaning about the price ? surley if you got that much money 600 pounds is northing ???

that will not include (if you have) reach and wash system being fitted that is classed has a mod and bumps up premiums.

to not declare this would mean your insurance will be invalid if you have an accident and the insurance are made aware of this

hahaha, I've only ever looked on the carpet cleaners forum once......a lady carpet cleaner stirred em all up with mention of a price war and all hell broke loose.....could the same person be playing devils advocate on here perhaps.....hehehehehe?  ;)
