Been a while since i posted so thought would update on how things going..

I'm working my job PT now and WC around it, I can pick and choose my days I work so it works out well, i have built up quite a substantal round thanks to the 2 canvassers i was using and I have recently lost them as they are on to bigger and better things...i really wanted to have a big round so i could leave the job and WC full time, some weeks im completely flat out weather depending and others a bit quieter due to losing customers to one offs etc

Still juggling them around to get a good spread of work each week and getting there slowly, I added powerwashing to my services and really pushed it on the regulars and it worked out great and a nice little earner tbh...

One thing I do see is just how many WC there are about, from your 1 man in a corsa withj a ladder on the roof, to 2 young lads with ladder on there shoulder to guys in vans using WFP etc, with unemployment so high there seems to be alot of people going down the WC route, how does this effect you folks business? surely it has to have some effect?

Just worry about yourself mate.
Do as best a job as you can and do everything by the book.
When locals see you as a full time proffesional they will choose you over the man on the dole.
Its all about reputation in this game.
If you f..k that up u might aswell try something else lol.
 So be honest,reliable,friendly,and put the customer 1st all the time and your do fine.

We have never been affected by other window cleaners.

If you do a good job, be reliable, be polite etc, then you will be fine in this game. Plenty of windows for everyone

i dont mind the them, cuz as soon as they have had enough and jack it in i pick up their customers, its like having free canvassers

They're active round here met another window cleaner yesterday struggling to keep onto his work against the £2.50 any bungalow £3.50 semi-detached canvassers.
I've lost 3 in one street.

only joking m8 ... keep at it and dont worry about or try not to worry about what others are doing.

this job pays exactly what you want it to pay so long as you can be a rsed putting the effort in.

Ive noticed a drop off in the amount of walk ups this year compared to last year so guessing a few more windies about but will keep going keeping my customer base happy and just grow a little slower than i would like but thats how it goes.
