Cheap as chips bristol hotels???
« on: August 19, 2012, 11:08:39 am »
Hello,

We are working in bristol next week, mon, tues and wed,

I know there's a few on here from bristol, does anyone know of any cheap hotels with parking?

I'm not too fussed about the quality as long as there is decent parking and its not in a place where the van might get damaged.

Thanks in advance,

Dean.

The place that we are staying is 16 miles from our job so its nothing to us  :)

Clevedon's nice - take a walk along the pier on a sunny evening (restored Victorian pier - nothing like Weston super Mare one which is like a mini-Blackpool.)

Then along the sea front to the Salt House pub or just go a bit further along the coast past the church if you are feeling a bit more energetic. From the end of the pier you can see up to the Severn Bridge, over to Cardiff and the Brecon Beacons and the islands of flat holm and steep holm and Exmoor.

When you go to Bristol and depending where you are working you can hop up the M5 and in a long the A369 or A4.

What area are you working in?

We've just been up onto the front, its was very nice,

We are now just in our caravan getting changed and then we'll head to the bar for a couple of beers before the soaps start. Sad I know. :D.

We have been working in at a school in the BS4 postcode today, then we are at BS13 and BS16 tomorrow and wed respectively.

Its been a long day, we've been out since before 5am so after a lie in tomorrow we might venture out further tomorrow evening.

Yes indeedy! But It's too far for me unless my electric buggy has a full charge so I can wobble down the hard shoulder, fall asleep with a blanket around my knees while my kindly bro. lets me use his leccy to get back the next day! Why go 15 miles when I can go one mile to Westbury-on-Trym - the God's waiting room of North Bristol!  ;D

Squeaky can't go there - the rent on his one bed flat in Newport would only get him similar in Southmead, even Sea Mills is out of his reach and that's a right dump! ;D
It's a game of three halves!
