problem with my portable New

hey,man what a day,starter motor goes in my tm,pull out my prochem steempro to finish job,keeps tripping the electric.So i get home,change cable to machine,put in a new vac motor on one side.Works ,then blip.Can anyone tell me what the little silver barrel with wires going into it is,some form off regulator????REALLY BUSY and with all machines down :-[carpet cleaning Dublin

hi john,it will work fine ,its working now,but i ll try it in 5 mins and blip,so cant get a idea if its vac or pump,last time it went it was pump only???

presume its the rccb switch tripping ?   

could be a nuisance to troubleshoot  ...  first id check for anything obvious ... dampness on switches  , leaks ,  try running each vac , switch , pump separately to try and isolate ..

Last time mine did that it was the vac brushes arcing. Worth a look may be a cheap fix  :)

thanks all,thik its some kind of short,maybe dampness somewhere,no leaks,one brand new vac the other only 3 months old.
