I had one the other day, that I've been doing for a couple of years, that has always paid by cheque.. "I cant find my cheque book, is cash ok?"  ::) ;D

Not very often on windows, but I do get some custies that want to pay before I've done the work.  :)

I often get.......'thanks, I will pop a cheque in the post for you'  Well, why dont they just write out a cheque then and hand it to me rather than than writing it out later, sticking a stamp and taking it to a post box?

tight arses who want to keep on to every penny they get for as long as they possibly can unitll they have to hand it over.

Some of these people are complete basteroids, aren't they?

But, that said, the majority are really good, and I rate them pretty highly.  I live the way I do, serving hatch, Pimms every night, German Goo Girls on my lap every day from 2pm, lemon sorbet served by Terry Wogan in his underpants on Monday mornings, Griffin polishing my boots every Sunday instead of his penance... what can I say?

All because these custard creams do the right thing.

I USED to have a customer a few back, an £8 house, that sent payment on as they were out...
