Just wondering what size pole would cover most solar panels as have been asked to do a few but don't have a long enough pole so looking to buy one, but not sure which size would be best, was thinking about 40ft or should i go longer?

40ft should do most - depends on the pitch of the roof and whether the ground slopes away from the property.
i don't know the cost of a cheap 40 ft pole but if you can go for an SL2 - 60ft reach but really light and easy to use

We use 45 ft which will be able to suffice on 90% of residential customers
