Please dont rip me apart but...
I run a driveway cleaning company. My friend owns a chemical company.I complained that when wash drives i end up withh crap up the windows which is hard to remove even with 3000psi at 15litres per min!!!!
He made a concentrate for me that i spray on first to the windows and doors and then wash off when i have finished easy no crap no streaks and looks like brand new.
My question is why do window cleanerss use the fancy gadgets that purify water etc when the could just plug the poles into a hose pipe and maybe use a small measured amount through the brush head to acheive the same results?
As i say i dont clean windows so i am not aware of the benefits of the purified pole systems but my way seems far simplier. Cheers scotty
I'll get roasted for this too. I've jet washed a whole house with pure water, never put a brush near it and got perfect results!!!! It was a reclean we done and the jet wash washwas out for the conny, done quite connys start to finish with the jet wash with perfect results. Got me thinking why anyone needs a brush !!
Anyway, what you are saying does not make sense to me, although i'll keep an open mind. If something won't shift at 3000 PSI then i'd be suprised if some 'chemical' removed it. Bear in mind we're talking about general crap and your splash up on windows and not dried in spray graffitti etc..
To answer your question generally, pure water leaves a spotless/clear finish on windows after you given them a light scrub and rinse. Although your way may seem simpler (using a jet lance) in practice overspray would cause problems with neighbours, passers by etc i would imagine, not to mention having to keep to power away from vents etc... But as regards a chemical that leaves a clear/clean finish you may be onto something. In practice i've found simple fairy liquid leaves great results. If you squirt some neat onto a damp cloth a rub a mirror for example, it initially soaps up and does dry to a clear finish. We could well be beiing conned with all this pure water malarkey. Especially since Ionics (i think) pioneered it here !!
Maybe we're all missing a trick?
