I have had a go with Craftex Catalyst and it was excellent!! however it is unbelievably expensive to use!! Just wanted your thoughts on weather Fusion Clean from solutions is as good?... as the dilution rates seem a lot more managable.

Most of his products dilute well.
I cleaned a large carpeted hall the other week about 400 sq mts and it cost around 90p in materials.

Mostly on carpet tile. However I used catalyst on domestic loop pile and cut, both synthetic, and it was visually impressive. As I was using it with a tex type method it was quite expensive. I used over half a bottle on a three bed house

if its expensive it because it has too be, Craftex are a good company and very competitively prices if they have to charge a higher price for catalyst then its because its cost more to make to do the job..... as you put it ...'excellent'

i always thought it was their copy of Dryfusions cleaning agent. how much would you have to add onto a living room  price to cover the cost of using it?

thought catalyst needed a heated bonnet system to work effectively. stinks an all. but in an hygenic way.

Yes I was using a ringer bucket after heating the pad.

To cover the cost of using it on a living room I suppose would be about £3 which doesn't sound much in itself but if you multiply that by large areas it will be. I suppose its having enough solution to heat and ring out which uses so much but I still think 1:4 is a lot.

I found this as well a good product but not viable

I use fusion clean all the time and have not had any problems with it... I would go as far as to say I have excellent results with it....

I do however use it at 2 x the recommended dilution rate, as it was not quite so good at the recommended rate.... I must point out though that my tub of it is 2 years old now, so the product may have been upgraded in that time.

I tried Catalyst years ago when i got my Thermadri, could not get great results with it for the price, M/S was just as good at 1/4 cost.
Just got some of the new Realiseit Encap from Jamie so Im gonna try that over the next month on my contract work and some domestic carpets. Ive tried it for acouple of jobs so far using the Viper and results are looking good

i cant see anything too exotic in catalyst to make it expensive ...  various surfactants , solvent surfactant , bit of disinfectant
I suspect the the whole heated bonnet niche factor can command a premium .

Bought some Releasit DS2 from Jamie and tried it out with my Cimex  on a couple of commercials today with the Fiber plus pads. Initial results very good expensive but highly concentrated.

Did a trial today, as Mark says good initial results, looking forward to seeing it tomorrow as I`v always found Encap to improve a fair bit as it drys.
