Is a 1400w gutter vac good enough for domestic use ?

Thinking of getting one and wondered if anyone has one and what they think of it on residential houses

Do you use a genny or hook up to custys electric ? thinking of getting a genny

Hook up to the custys house with an rcd. They don't seem to mind

Yes if you go into b&q they do a newer version which is chrome and also do a 65 litre model..
I must say I never use the cartridge filter when in use too, I've only used the foam wet filter so far when working.

what poles do you use ?

Well yeah defo ain't stopped me from doing a job yet..

If my main work was guttering on a large scale day in and day out then I'd step it up.. You can see 1400w vacs on YouTube cleaning guttering no problem.

I bought mine from guttercleaningsystems with 50mm hose that fitted straight into this vac perfect..
I think mark from guttervacuum dose a nice set of poles and light weight too.

I see severals problems with this machine.

The first is the hose is too small, at 32mm it is at least 18mm too small, why does this matter, well I have found on some really messy jobs that the inner wall of the poles and hose clog up like an artery on fat, thereby closing the pole and hoses diameter, you then end up with a block pipe which takes time to flush out.

If you increase the size from 32mm to 50mm you lose suction power, so on hard to clean gutters you will struggle.

Also these machines are only for the domestic market to be used lightly, using them professionally will burn the motors out faster imo.

I would recommend that you go for some thing that give more power

Granted the smaller the diameter the faster the air flow but this balance setup dose not hinders the vacs performance in anyway.. Course having 3000w vac will out shine anything else and will last years longer but an empty gutters an empty gutter!!
I suck up chucks of moss,stones even half tiles..

yes you will need a few nozzles for them really tricky tight spots.. Couldnt think of something worse than telling a customer I can't finish the job off because I don't have the tools.
