Hi Guy's,

I'm renting a HSS Pro carpet cleaner at the weekend to do my house, not been cleaned before ( 3yrs) and need a freshen up, so I'm looking for a good De-odorise/cleaner I can use to good effect.

Could any of you guys recommend a suitable product?

Then book a professional to come and do it for you so you can see how it is done properly.
If you make the mistake of thinking that a DIY machine will get you started as a pro carpet cleaner, you're in for a world of pain

If you are thinking of entering the industry you would be better starting off with training as what you perceive the industry to be will be a lot simpler than it is. You will pay a few hundred pounds to go on a training course, which is probably what you think you need to spend on a machine. A training course will educate to to the fact that you need to invest a minimum of a few thousand just for a basic start up package.

Before I bought my prochem machine I was thinking of hiring one, to start me off but they have a low psi pump and a small tank, ideal for car valeting but they downscale the pump so people dont over wet the carpet and shrink it etc

also its acheaper pump so they can replace it when it burns out, a day of training will be the best thing you can do, as thats what i have done and I got myself a machine which is capable of good results, later on I may go for a truck mount but for now I'm ok as I also do window cleaning this is a new venture for me, if you read my recent post on here I wrote about what chemicals I was thinking of prochem chemicals but I have now found another firm what does a sample kit for £40 to get you going.

The only thing I need now is experiance, get a machine with min of 100-125psi with at least 2 vacs suction.

otherwise you will just bring up the deep dirt to the surface and will make things worst. I think what I am saying is pretty good adice even tho i am a newbie myself.

Stain removal can vary from extremely simple to massively difficult. Using your knowledge of chemistry and fibres will dramatically improve the likelihood of getting a great result for your customer.
The answer is yes, you should tip them (me).
