Hi
Just wondered what I should have as a minimum, I was looking at crystal green as a extractor fuid

and multi pro for a pre spray, I am mainly doing domestic houses at this stage, I know it might be an idea to have some

selection of stain removers.

Its so daunting with so many chemicals to choose from, and I know different carpets have different ones, but

as a general average what would be the main chemicals what would do most carpets.

If you were starting out what would you buy just to start you off?

Many thanks for any advice.

Why only Prochem?
There are many other products out there that may suit you as well or better.
I use one companies products mainly.
I have 2 general carpet solutions and 4 spotters all safe products to use.
If they cannot get it clean then we are in the 'black arts' of stain removal with risk to the carpet.

well prochem is the only one i really know of at present, what company do you recommend then for chemicals

they might even be cheaper. I only thought prochem as i have the prochem machine and someone told me thier chemicals were pretty good as well, but being a newbie i'm not sure where else to look.

I'll put my hard hat on here and say if I was starting off and unsure what was good or not, you could do a lot worse than ordering a sample pack from Solutions - £60 inc vat & delivery, and if you spend £150&VAT within 60 days you get the £60 refunded. It's got presprays, detergents, and some stain treatments.

Otherwise buying chemicals only to find you can't get on with them can get quite expensive.

If you want Prochem stuff:

Power burst for a heavy prespray,
Double clean for general use,
Stain pro for most stains,
Citrus Gel for heavy stains, gum, tar, oil, etc
Fibre & fabric rinse,
Liquid woolsafe,
Multipro can be used as a less heavy prespray or as an extraction chemical,
always handy to have a bit of contract carpet deodoriser.
For sanitizing, something like Clensan.

If you're just starting out and want Prochem stuff, you could do a lot worse than giving John Kelly from Restormate a call - he stocks Prochem stuff and is good for advice & guidance.

na i dont live down thier bobby, got a couple of houses down that way i do windows for, getting into this carpet cleaning tho as sick of the weather and i can do that if it rains, so offering carpet cleaning as well now as i dont think it hurts to have a few things you can do, so dont a course on it a day one, and got a machine just need some new flyers made up and a few more bits to buy like carpet pile brush, foils to put under furniture, buckets etc and chemicals.

rain never bothers me much, i dont even wear a coat!    , my workers arent so keen on the rain tho  :).
av u canvassed all of cowdray av and ipswich rd, the double bay stuff  all over town rarely gets canvassed  for a reason  , cos theyre  quite  hard work on the ladders .
