The telephone ringing was the Police - the carpet cleaning was criminal.  ;D
That carpet looked as if it could be a Belgian Wilton??????

It's a dramatic video though for the ignorant customer.

Not that anyone other than bitching carpet cleaners watch Ytube videos of carpets being cleaned anyway. ;D
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

He probably thinks a dry stroke is masturbation without lubrication.

if you watch the stool video you will see a very interesting point at 42 seconds.

he does a clean stroke without pulling the trigger and makes it as clean as when he does a wet stroke, this stool isn't as dirty as it looks,  it look dark & dirty because it is already soaking wet.

but if you want to criticise this guy then put your own videos on YouTube...... at least he's stepped into the ring ;)

I've had vides on you tube for a few years, for what good its done, Don't mind stepping into the ring and I have done.

We all get flooding sometimes, but we then stop pulling the trigger and suck it up, leaving huge puddles there for 5 minutes it's clearly going to soak the backing and most likely the underlay too and would take days to dry and start to smell.

and you can criticise his video because like you say you put up your own videos,

but  it can be a bit easy for some people to pull a guys viddeos apart when he is not here to defend himself,

Amazed your defending this sort of cleaning Mike.

Reading the above post looks like most are with me, that this is bad practice.

"pulling it apart" ::)

Fantastic bit of marketing and EVERYONE with a truckmount should have a video similar to this to show their customers.

Customer doesn't know that is bad cleaning, the person that believes this video is also the person that believes the QVC Steam Cleaner and Rug Doctor hype that is put out there.

Seriously, have a think, this is actually doing professional carpet cleaners a massive favour.

Did you see the power of that steam and the colour of that water? I want him around my house NOW.

To be fair some very heavily worn and very soiled carpets can react like that which is no different to the effect even a moderate pressure would have on a hard floor because is what the carpet has become, an impervious  surface. The same effect happens on black top but, lessens as you break through the surface soil and remove the compacted soil from what remains of the carpet.
A brave video in my view.
