I charge double for eight weekly, as opposed to four. Grow some balls and just tell the customer how it is  >:(.
I do have to clean them twice for that, though  :-\.

i like what your saying g! thanks mate  ;)

8 wky is dearer by 30 to 50 % over a 4 wky clean depending on the size of the house ( ie a £10 4 wky would be £15 8 wky but a £40 4 wky would be £55 8 wky )

for what it's worth i have found that pricing people as follows gives excellent results and stops any problems later on if the custy changes freq.

when quoting i ask what freq the custy wants - usually it's a well er, what do you offer - then i simply say the standard freq is 8 wks BUT we run a premium 4 wky service with a discounted rate - so 8 wky service would be £15 however the premium service at 4 wky is £10. - this stops the need to explain about more dirt/time on job ( which i believe customers are sceptical of anyway ) and if they go 4 wky they feel they have got something from you.

those who say  bi-monthly ( 8 weekly ) are given the price but then also offered the 'discounted' 4 wky price
and if they want a 4 wky then it's a big smile and 'lovely i can give you our dicounted rate of XX from the standard 8 wky price of XXX

best regards
Darran

we take of £1.50 so it's not an obvious 50% extra.

Don't charge any extra, don't even think about it. I just tell the customer its up to them how often they want them cleaned. Whatever they say thats how I set them up on George. The old days of doing rounds is dead now its bespoke services now. And you would be suprised how many referrals you get as a result.

if a customer on my estate work wants to go 8 weekly then of course the price should go up a bit!why not?you WILL use a bit more water that COSTS YOU money to produce.a little bit of extra time to clean and you have to rejig your round that week to fit them in.

if they moan about extra charge i always point out that they will save money over the course of the year.if they are still not happy they can get lost!they cant afford a window cleaner!!

im not cleaning windows to just GET BY and scratch a living together.im running a profitable lifestyle business that allows me to earn well without having to work every day! :D :D

new work in other areas i offer 8 weekly as a standard frequency esp on larger jobs as i can charge more.

my attitude to my business over the last few years has changed dramatically for the better and consequently im earning a lot more money.

i always provide the best quality clean and service i can and i want to make money while im doing it so yep for me longer frequencies mean higher clean price for the job.

best wishes to you all

price higher/work harder!
