Steempro powermax problem
«
on:

when using my machine I'm getting fairly heavy dripping from the black plate underneath. Will be giving Prochem a call, but if anyone has any obvious causes I'd appreciate a bit of feedback.
Thanks in advance.

Get it open and turn the pump on. Then investigate!!!!
Hopefully you should find the problem.

Hi, Yes I have used these machines for many many years and yes open it then switch the pump on like Fran says, it will be either a jubilee clip to be tightened or damage to the pipe, most probably. Good luck:)

Thanks for all replies, but I'm not sure it's the pump. On closer inspection I've found that I'm taking in water through the pipe that's in the extraction tank - the one that the ball-cock fits in. Can't yet see why though.

You been sucking up foam ? Or possibly a split in the plastic part that the ball float fits onto

It's not foam, there's a fair amount of water being passed, but like you say i'll test for a split. Cheers.
