Beginners luck??
« on: July 03, 2012, 03:50:52 pm »
Just really started to build on a very small round i had by canvassing. I done 3 hours last wednesday eve and got 6 new regulars 2 one off's,1 gutter cleaning job and priced 3 tarmac cleaning + sealing  1 decking cleaning + sealing & 1 hedge cutting job which i dont really do (only if im not busy) put a good price in for cleaning + sealing jobs which i dont mind if i dont get because i want to put all my energy into building a good window cleaning round. Anyway went back out saturday were a lot of people weren't home for 2 hours but got 3 more regulars, then went back out last night  for 1 hour and got 6 more regulars then spent another hour droping flyers which gonna follow up with a canvass this evening and tomorrow eve. Would this be the norm for anyone else? I thought this was a very good start, pretty new to this, so canvassing defo seems to be the way forward.. What yous think?

You must be a fast talker.

Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

There's work out there no doubt.
Gardening for a window customer - next door stops asks me if I can do fencing repair for a rental property of his.
Go to measure up - let next door know I will have to go in their garden.
"Oh can you do gardening jobs?
Can you cut down this little tree for us?
Oh and can you clean our windows?"
While I'm cutting down the tree neighbour - opposite comes over "Can you do some gardening for me every month?- Oh and you clean windows - can you clean my windows?"
"Oh and can you repair this fence and this gate?"
Neice comes out from next door sees me working and asks "How much do you charge we need some gardening doing too"
Yes there is work out there no doubt.
