4 to the door
« on: June 30, 2012, 07:48:31 am »
Tried it yesterday getting some flood water out before ripping up the carpets and wow, what a difference even with a 2inch Ti wand.

Mind you the most powerful TM in the country might help as well!

Most powerful engine, perhaps, Mr King, the Titan 875 is the real king of carpet cleaning machines. ;D

I think 4 to the door is more hassle than it is worth. The easier way of getting a lift in performance (if you have a twin port machine) is to use a splitter and use both vac ports to a single vac line.....simples.

I'd have a titan, the 421 we have is a very nice machine indeed, was worried that they might be a bit too complicated with the electronics but it all seam very reliable.
But for raw "rip your head" off power try 3500psi and 150c and it's got a blower on it the size of a car engine.

I said that wand was good!

TBH that machine is wasted unless you get some 2.5" hose, yes it is a little more hassle but you've got all of that power it seems a real shame not to use it.

Infact sell the TM to me.

if it does improve drying times... by how much?

if doing 4 to the door knocks half an hour of a job that would normally  be dry in 5 hours does it make that much difference to the customer? get rid of a whip hose & do a couple of extra dry strokes will do the same, so why bother.

I would like to see some scientific test on how much difference using 2.5 or 2x2inch hose really makes

I Might build another one, the company in the states has gone under but they are very, very, simple indeed. probably knock one up for 6-7k I'll let you know probably be cheaper to build two at once. You interested as I got my eye on a, couple of jaguar engines cheap ? already mounted?

250 hp and you can tell people you drive a JAG! for work, run it on LPG and it would be really economical just ticking over.

3,500 psi and she can deliver 220 degrees to three RX20's at just over 10 litres of lpg per hour (at full power), run non-stop for 10 hours and purs like a kitten while she's doing it. 0 - 61 in a blink ;D ;D
