Anyone familiar with the texatherm system
« on: June 27, 2012, 04:40:09 pm »
Hi, Looking to purchase new equipment and someone put me onto the texatherm system saying it was good for low profile commercial carpet cleaning. Anyone familiar with the machine and if so your views.

It works well. Comparable to the Dry Fusion system.

In my opinion it's a bit over engineered.

Similar results can be achieved with equipment that is a fraction of the price.

I will have to see you in action one day. I have never been able to achieve comparable results to the texatherm.
Doug does claim to but I think that he is using similar technology to the texatherm.
I use texatherm and as low moisture goes it is impressive, saying that I think that the most important single system to own is hwe.
Others on here are lucky enough to have a different client base but  what my opinions are based on is the enquiries and work that I have taken on in 20 years. There are different market places and that is probably what you need to ask yourself. If you are going to be cleaning dirty night clubs or greasy restaurants or even heavily soiled domestic carpets then it might not be the system for you.

I agree with you Peter. For the applications you mention HWE is king.
LM is definately an add on or complimentary system.

That said most of our work is commercial tile but we always have an extractor on board and probably use it on 10% of the area in a building.

My preference is not to use LM in a domestic location as I feel a decent HWE set up is as quick and can be as fast drying with an experienced operator and the right tooling.

The original post was in regard to commercial tile/low profile. It is fair to say that the Texatherm system in its entirety with the EMV etc is the most compete offering available offering both HWE and rotary cleaning.

Hi Guys

I would recommend it for low profile office carpets and as a problem solver.

It's true I mainly use my own chemical choices but it is essentially the heated pads and heavy rotary.

Cheers

Doug
