i have my wfp mule all loaded up in the back of the van and tend to knock on and ask if i can take it through the house to the back. it works well for me

i have heard that others use dogs but lots of my clients have budgies so you can imagine the kerfuffle

if they're not in i have to get out the window cleaners pulley (you can buy them online) and lower the mule over the roof but for the extra hassle I charge an extra 20p at christmas otherwise it's not worth it. lots of them don't like to pay the extra so I dump them or just do the fronts for free

i'm sure others have different methods but this works well for me

with this level of intellect I think you need to think about carpet cleaning instead of window cleaning.

I know your a newbie and we like to be helpful on this part of the forum but FFS some things you can work out for yourself ... surely ??

please dont be offended but come on are you for real with that question ??  :o

most customers have gates that you can open  to clean the backs.you can even use a ladder if locked and out!or you can go over the flat roof garage with pole/hose and ladders if no side access.

i text a few the night before to get them to leave the side gate unlocked.if you cant then just clean fronts only and adjust your price accordingly.
price higher/work harder!

Have you not got a mule and window cleaners pulley Ian? Mine works double quick if we give him oats soaked in redbull :)

dont listen to him we all know mules have been outlawed due to elf n safety ..... the approved method is to abseil from rooftop to rear of house and you use a trampoline to get to the roof from the front of the house ... Ironics are doing a new course on it from July.

Think he may be talking of long row's of terraced houses. I don't do any but if I did, I would do all the front's that need doing, then re position the van and do all the back's that need doing.
Your wfp is attached to a long hose reel kept in or close to the van. Hose reel is attached to a largish tank full of purified water. Hose reel usually is 100 metre's.

that explains it all

if you can't get round the back just do the fronts

if they are adamant they want the backs doing get a backpack and go through the house but charge a premium so its worth while

hi i dont get whats so humerous about my question,  yes correct to the other post i am talking about lined up terraced houses with no back or side entrance so was just asking how people did the back windows with the system when the customers were not in. just a simple answer would have helped. so am i right in saying that you do not do the back if its in the same situation or best bet will be to get the little trolleys or backpacks. thanks in advance for replies

hey sam,

If you are going to do the backs of these type of houses, you will have to arrange for people to be in so you can go through the house, dont even think of getting a trolly system for this, they are far to bulkey and a pig to get through houses and carpets ect especially with 25litres of water on, what you need as said before is a backpack, these are an excellent piece of kit, you dont want to wear it on your back, just carry it through the house, i just got one of the gardiners ones yesterday and they look good, the window cleaning warehosue ones are also great as well, you can strap them with a bungee to a sack barrow from ebay for all other types of work.

You will go through loads of water at first but as you go on you wont be using a lot at all, a backpack can clean one standard counsil house.

Get a push fit tap from gardiners to control your water

or an aquadapter, (better but expensive)

dont forget your connectors ez snap male and female will do you you can have the correct end put on for you if you ask over the phone when getting your backpack
