I'm looking at getting one too but am also considering the Cleanfix Floormac which is cheaper and I have read some very good reviews. My main reason for getting one is that I feel that the Sebo Duo just not good enough for some of the really trashed carpets.

Get the brushes
With pads you cant do the stairs, without losing a pad.
Also with the brushes, if you tilt the orbitor to the side slightly you can spot with it.

I use the black brush, it's softer and kinder to wool carpets

The pads and brushes are inter-changeable with the Floormac and oreck. I find the pads work better than brushes. I use the Floormac on stairs with the white floor pads for agitating the prespray. The pads do not come off even when cleaning the nosings.

I use any brand of white polishing floor pad. The Floormac pad holder grips really well not sure if it is the same as the Oreck. It may need cleaning or replacing. The terry bonnet also works well and I literally have to rip it off the gripper after cleaning.
