i've got my balls on the line as doing a website for someone on here at the moment and he wants it ranking. So in about 2 months i am either going to look like I know what I am doing or look a complete plonker

Gary it full of them, most are in my comments which I tend to do from my Ipad in the coffeeshop on a morning, it doesn't have a spellcheck so loads get through..... does it really matter?  would someone really not call because they see a spelling mistake

You can be No1 in Google searches but every year the distinction between you and the paid entries gets less. Add in Maps entries and you wonder whether it's worth the investment if you are paying for SEO.

not off the pressurewashing site or my main site, this area is a backwater for the Internet I'm top of google for all the main search terms and maybe get 2 calls a week, I think the prices page puts a lot of people off.

2/ Get varied contextual links from good quality relevant sites.
