My new canvasser
« on: June 16, 2012, 05:04:54 pm »
I have taken on a female canvasser who is total mustard. All the old dears love her. I highly recomend when advertising for a canvasser to advertise for a female canvasser. We went out canvassing today i got 6 which is the norm but she got 11 and was her first day at it. We Did from 11-3 in a nice area. She is happy getting £5 a lead too. I said if she hits 50 calls a week ill give her an extra £50 as a bonus so for £300 a week ill be getting a min of £500 of new work without having to go out myself. Will see how it goes but have a good feeling about this 1. I best get van hunting again.  When she has finished helping build me up if any other local lads near dartford/bexley need her to canvass im sure she wouldnt say no.

Excellent result. I still use a female canvassing team, and find they get good results also, and customers generally make comments about them on the first clean.  Lets just hope she can keep herself motivated and sticks at it when the zero nights come along.

i have her saying,
Hi do you use a window cleaner??. if the answere is no she says im helping my friend build up a round as he has been made redundant by another window cleaner and needs enough work to start on he's own could you give him a go?.
i know its a bit naughty but it works. sometimes you have to have a twist to get max results.

even when i canvas i say, Hi do you use a window cleaner at the moment??, if no i say the mrs wants to have a baby so i need to get more work in on the books would you give me a try??.
which also is my other winner getting in the work in hard areas. my other 2 canvassers are honest and just say the norm but they get results too just not as many.

it sounds as if i have canvassers coming out my ears but i havnt. i have 1 who also cleans who does it to earn some extra dough, 1 who does it as and when he feels like it as he is between jobs(usual dosser round my way) and now this girl. its me that is the hardcore canvasser who always goes out.

I got the girl from me knocking on her mums door asking if she wants a cleaner, her mum said her daughter just lost her job and asked if i needed a lady window cleaner just for a laugh. i laughed it off then said seriously if she wants a little part time job she could do some canvassing for me, i explained how it works and about the pay and she thought it was the best thing since sliced bread as was only working in morrisons before. the next day her daughter rung me and she started today. so far so good she loved it and is going out 2moz hitting more for me.
At £5 a lead she wont go far wrong as will be 3-4 times more an hour than she was getting at morrisons as long as she hits leads which i have no doubt about after todays results.

you almost need to sell it to them mate,

it aint so easy ,
normally how mick is doing it just take a chance, u gota be a chancer just like that like when you see a door to door sales man in the street take a chance walk up to him and canvass him yourself offer him some work ask him how much would he be happy with earning an hour? and teach him how to canvass for window cleaning thats one way of finding people.you basically gota make the moves your self to find them pretty much

you wont need to teach them much or how to price as its just a £5 per customer, all they need to do is get a name and number of someone wanting a window cleaner you do the rest

thats the beauty of it
