Look at the back if unsure, faux has white qauze, suede has rough back the same colour. Faux can be wet cleaned.
real suede best left alone IMO. Or if you have training. do a search for best technique.

hope this helps

Ive cleaned one suede suite ( cost them 5 grand apparently !) in 15 years so is probably faux suede which are very easy to clean hwe, but normally could do with towelling off after to remove last bit of moisture.

Faux = False so look for a material backing not a skin like backing which real suede will have.
I did a suede suite about a month ago but don't touch unless you have had the training because these items water mark very easily.
If it is faux suede don't use solvents as that can have disasterous results, hwe is ok but reset the nap quickly so it doesn't dry flat and funny.

Just to add a bit to what the above guys have said.............

Suede on furniture is generally called Nubuck.

Fabric "suede" look-a-likes may be called a number of names such as "Faux suede, Macro suede, Micro suede, Macro fibre, Micro fibre" and any other names that the manufacturers want to give them.

As said above, open a zipper and look at the reverse side (inner side) of the cushion.

If it has a pattern similar to cotton sheets (criss/cross), it will be fabric.

If it has a raw, hide look, it is probably Nubuck.

Be especially aware of the new Chinese look-a-likes now flooding the market.   :o >:(

The fabrics can easily be cleaned with a wet system, depending on your expertise with fabric furniture.

If you have never done a leather course, RUN........................ & recommend a knowledgeable leather cleaner to the custard.

Shorty.

just went to look at the suite and it is a faux  ,label says go to chem dry . also mentions buffalo fabric and it says contour upholstery, so i am going to try it with some nemesis unless anyone advises differently.

Just keep the temperature to around warm to hand hot- no more or the pile will distort. I use luke warm to cold.

This material is easy to clean by either wet extraction or encap.Word of warning DO NOt under any circumstances go near it with any type of solvent.

also avoid fabric restorer and other solvents as they can cause delamination. Keep the temp down too.
If you can take a picture of the backing, it would help to identify the face fibre.
