It probably needs descaling. Scale which is Limestone and other minerals dissolved in water, build up on the inside of your heat exchangers and other components. These deposits break away and cause blocked jets. The build up also reduces the efficiency of the machine, especially the heat. The scale looks like rust, the same stuff you get in a kettle.

1. Descale - although its a bit early for that unless you are in a very hard water area (like me)
2. Get inline filters on each tool/wand

eeerrr thats it!

You raised this point a couple of weeks ago Gary, did you not de-scale the machine?  Or fit an in-line filter, or jet screens?

You were given loads of helpful advice which should have sorted your problem.

Take the Y-strainer out and inspect it - is it caked in crud or clear?  That would tell you whether the source of the debris is within the machine's plumbing or header tank, or if it is coming off the inside of the hoses.

Alltec basic service would probably set you back £130 - £200 depending on variables.  Not too bad a journey

Just suggesting options Len.  Even with my bestest squint I can't really see what's going on in your photo but I bet it shows some limescale! :)

Gary

All though not addressed to me

Never used there discaler, only used the ones you get from a jan supplier. Check prices and distance (keep it cheap) don’t forget your hoses and take out the orifice for the final rinse ??? ;)

Jim

That my hot water tank which I took out Friday (new bath room and surrey flange) and I’ve got a water-softener. Nobody told me you need to flush the system :'(

Len, read the f---in instructions you plonker ;D

what the hell is a Surrey Flange?!  Is that Len-speak for something?!

Gary search for your local supplier of Clover products, they do a de-scaler called Phos which is brilliant.  The "Truckmount" de-scalers from our suppliers are not going to be any better, probably more watered down if anything, and are twice the price or more.

These are things that seem hard but if you see someone do it you will see it's straightforward. Anyone who went up to Pauls for the TACCA course probably would agree with me.

So if you can get someone to show you, you're laughing.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

Haven't you got a shower in the house :o - a Surrey flange is an essential item if you had one ;)
