Got a random call today folks.  A call to examine a carpet, as to wether its an Axminster!  Upon examination I have decided it certanly aint!  The company who sold the carpet to an 80 year old seems to think different, tell me if im wrong.  Idone a burn test and also had a friend of mine who is a carpet fitter examine it, how ever the people who sold the carpet are adi mant its 80 / 20 axminster   the underside ( Felt back) I will upload better pics tomoz (my phone playing up atm!

There is the "Axminster" style of weaving carpets, and there is also the Axminster carpet company who make carpets not only of that design but also some other constructions.  My parents have a 100% wool tufted construction loop pile made by Axminster.

If I've got the right end of the stick here, there is a debate between the end customer and carpet supplier as to whether there has been some deception?  There is a very simple solution to this.  Get the carpet fitting company to provide their supply invoice/delivery note for the carpet and see what it says.

With a felt backing, I know which side my money's on!

Jim - all its says on the invoice is it is Axminster 80/20 Twist.

Alan - No mate I did not charge them

The supplier has been out and appologised for the supply of the wrong Carpet, and have since replace it with the right one.  The company blame the fitters now and the fitters blame the job sheet lol!! :
