SCAM WARNING
« on: June 04, 2012, 08:09:41 pm »
A couple of Nigerians have picked up on my ad for window cleaning gear.

Both followed similar routines.  Buying it as a surprise for their son.  One had limited internet access to the internet as he was a marine engineer at sea and the other was an oil rig worker in the same situation.

All seems quite genuine.  They say they have transfered the money in full to my PayPay account plus £175 to cover carriage, which I can check.  A badly cloned PayPay email arrives confirming payment.  The funds are withheld pending me paying the £175 paid to me for the carriage to an address in Nigeria via a Western Union money account.

Good fun playing them along with false but very polite and 'helpful' replies.  Something to do on a wet holiday Monday.  ;D

Write to them and say that the penalty charge for delayed payment is £419 .
It has to be 419 though.
Google 419 scam or similar to see why.
