« on: May 31, 2012, 08:34:55 am »
What's the latest you guys work till on domestic houses?
I never work after 5pm as think the customers will start moaning,
Could do with working till about 6 but what will the customers reaction be? Is it fair on them to turn up after 5?

I'm generally finished between 4 & 5, however if for any reason I'm running late, I'd rather carry on to finish the planned days work rather than put it on the next.
I don't see what's wrong with working later - a quick 'sorry I'm running late' may be all that's necessary.

I was relaxing/dozing in my chair at home last night when my phone rang. It was 7:17.

Lady: "Can you come and clean my windows?"
Me: " Sure. When would you like them done?"
Lady: "Now."
Me: "Now??? Er... OK"

Finished at 9:08! Lady was well pleased.

i have binned some garbage work.
picked somd nice commercial contracts and earn far more more now in a lot less hours.i work harder but its worth it.i have streets with 7 and 8 houses close by that im doing in just over 1 hour instead of 7 or 8 houses spread out everywhere.i pick my girl up from school as my wife has a shop and never been so happy spending much more time with my daughter.

I can't understand what happens at five o'clock? you have morning until midday then afternoon follows - it is still the afternoon until it starts getting dark! then it is the evening and finally, when it is dark, it is night time. Simple as that.

That's how them continentals work - if it's daylight be out and about working and doing!

Then you can nip to the bank during the day - meet the missus for a coffee - chat with a mate - get the shopping in - have supper instead of tea - get rid of SkyTV and all that other brain rot ... mix it up a bit work and life ... because you can because it is summer in Great Britain ... try it!  ;D
