Yes I have one, yes I run it from the van and I think it's good value. Service and back up excellent.

HI have one, got it in March, prior to that I had the Airflex Pro 130.  The Storm is excellent and is so much more powerful and having features like remote control and auto dump makes it much quicker.   I don't use it van mounted as I only have a small van, Citroen C15 (Berlingo size) but I would certainly consider this if and when I upgrade my van.

My only negative point is that it is heavy and I believe the pump is towards the front of the machine which makes it difficult to take up stairs if doing flats as it off balance.

Great machine, great backup from manufacture and British built and looks the part too. ;D

Yes everyday machine got 200hrs on it so far. Mine was an upgrade from the turbo so it's clocking over 650hrs all together.

How much did it cost to upgrade from the turbo?
Cheers

If you can afford a storm it's the most cost effective way to go, but all the models can be adapted. Probably not fair for me to discuss the cost as it was one of the first to be done and Matt gave me an exceptional deal.

Had an Airflex turbo for just over two years now, its an excellent machine, with great back up from the suppliers when you need it.

Had an airflex turbo and it was a good machine, however i found it very heavy and not ideal for van mounting.
You may want to consider the Jaguar as well... this machine has the same 6.6 motors and the same performance from the 800 psi pump.
What it also offers is :

Auto dump (without having to switch the vac motor off)

See through tanks to check water levels

It lighter than the Storm (easy to lift in and out of the van)

Its smaller than the storm (takes less room in the van)

All the connections and switches including dump valve are all one end on the machine (ideal for van mounting)

Storm is £300 more expensive...

It might be £300 more expensive but the Airflex Storm comes with a  twin jet s-bend wand and 50 foot of solution and waste hose. << These three items comes to more than £300. The cost of the jag is for the machine only.

A few other things I wanted to correct in your post.

1. The Storm also comes with auto pump out and auto feed all controled by remote control!

2. The Storm is the same weight as the jag (or there abouts). Your confusing it with the three vac Turbo.

3. The Storm doesn't have a see through tanks as its body it built from a much more durable, solid material.

4. Bigger tanks on the Storm means less filling and emptying when not van mounted.

Thanks Dawg

The top and bottom of it is this... i have owned an Airflex turbo... a good machine but its heavy, to be fair i havent humped a storm in and out of my van so i guess i cant say if it is the same weight as the jag, plus the weight doesn't seem to be listed in the Storm specs.
I have to agree that the Storm is made from a more durable material, but im sure this will add to the overall weight of the machine.

With my jag i can set the auto dump on when i switch the vacs and pump on... i just get on with my work and forget about it, the remote control thing is just another thing to go wrong in my eyes and lets face it... when your working the last thing you want is interruptions.

When you van mount a portable the most likely place to put it is going to be the same place you would put a TM, what makes the Jag perfect for this is that it has all the hose connections, dump out connection and gate valve as well as switches all facing you when you open the vans door.
The auto fill is on the other side, i have made a simple hose extension for this to for easy connection to my waste hose pipe.

The auto fill comes as standard on the jag as it does on the Storm.

The deal i got with my machine from Solutions was outstanding... 4 jet wand, 100' of hose... chemicals  etc...

Both good machines, its a matter of what right for the individual i guess

Ha... i wish, the Airflex was like new condition and bought it from a really nice chap for a very good price... great bit of kit but it was just a bit too heavy for me and my back simply couldn't take all the humping...
For sure the Storm is a good looking machine and the Jag looks like it should contain ice lollies... but i can actually lift the thing which is essential
