Lichen on cony roof?

hi guys
I had a cony roof to do on Friday and i thought it would be a straight clean untill i got up there and took a look,
it was dotted with white lichen spots all over, had real trouble washing it off with the brush, each time i soaked it and then went back to it, it had dryed again as it was 27c here
and the heat was doing me in, in the end i used my mop on an unger pole to scub at it and it started to come off. How do you guys takle this?
Cheers fellas

'and the heart was doing me in'
What is it angina?
You should take it easy matey.
Stiffer brush? I find the Vikan range to be better all round than the others. There I've said it I like the vikan brushes they're better for cleaning and glide over the glass
I had some stubborn lichen on a poly lean to last week swapped the brush to a trusty vikan and off it came.
