I have a chem tex truckmount and I am having problems with the belt slipping on the top pulley from the engine.
Fitted new belt nice and tight, also sprayed belt dressing, but still no joy. The pump pulley is fine it just slips on the top pulley out of engine. Has anyone with a truckmount experienced simular problem, and if so any tips.
cheers steve

You prob already heard of it but have you tried posting on the US site TMF - they have specialised forum on tm maintenance split by machine manufacturers - I know there is a huge range of belts out there and just a small difference can be enough to screw things up so def check the belt - we have a specialist company that just delas in exotic makes of drive belts near us and what this bloke dont know about dbs is not worth knowing - good luck steve

I've read that if the pulley is out of alignment it can cause such problems. I'm sure i watched a youtube video about how to correct this.
Hope you get it sorted.

The sides of the pulley may have worn so the belt is 'bottoming' in the vees. This prevents the belt gripping the sides and then slips. If this is the case it is a new pulley required.

How's the tension on the belt?
It should move about an inch or just under back and forth.
