CFR Eco 500 & Rotovac 360i
« on: May 20, 2012, 05:44:31 pm »
Hi, I want an extractor with heat.  I've been looking at the CFR Eco 500.  Does anyone know if it will work well with a Rotovac 360i? Is the CFR with twin 5.7s in series or parallel? Thanks, David.

I don't know anyone with that combination but it would work and with a potentially endless supply of water, rotovacs would work on just about any porti.

Thanks Shaun, do you know if the CFR is in series or parallel? Also, is it a hot machine?  Thanks, David

Dont get into too much of a mess in your head about which porty to buy. All the new ones out there and the older models that have been upgraded over the past 2 yaers are all a muchness and will do you a great job. Just go for a supplier nearest to you, to help you with any problems and parts. As regards heat then an inline heater is always best IMO and as regards the 360i, well its a great bit of kit but not in my eyes for a porty unless you have auto fill/dump beacuse as Shaun says it goes through gallons of water.

I'm not sure about motor configuration how much pipe are you planning to use? What kind of work are you planning to do domestic or commercial mainly?

Paul is correct about many of the newer machines being powerful but I've heard that the cfr and perfect heat machines are super hot they are from the same company but cfr recycles hence not as much filling and emptying.

The Eco500 produces plenty heat with the perfect heat system
Not sure if the flow on the rotovac would reduce that significantly or not.
I don't have a 360 at the moment or I could have tested it for you. I only have the wand type one.

Thanks to all for your advice.

Jamie, if you get a chance to test one, don't forget to tell me how you got on. There doesn't seem to be much choice of machine in the UK at the moment.

Thanks again, DAvid.
