ive been meaning to get one fitted for a while.anyone know where i can get one fitted?dont fancy doing it myself!!i have a kangoo.i want a hole in it on the drivers side to fit my poles in though.

I got a bulkhead for my transit from ebay. Maybe try there first.

I think it cost about £120.

i live it salford mate but most of my work is in cheshire.ive seen one of your vans about near where i work on some new build 3 storey stuff in lymm.very flash them vans!

fitted mine myself to the transit.... the holes are already there , just needs screwing in.... if not ...self tappers .... an hour .. tops !

I'm afraid that you won't be able to fit a Berlingo/Partner bulkhead to your Multispace if my memory serves me. The difference between your car and the van is the rear passenger footwells are plated over in the van to give a flat rear cargo floor from the back of the front seats to the back doors. The bulkhead attaches to a lip that is incorporated in this footwell plate.

By the time you get someone to fabricate a special heavy duty bulkhead to securely protect you, you will find the cost will be too high.

The best bulkhead for the vans was the one that PSA supplied as an optional extra from new.

This is an older Berlingo van and you will be able to see the half steel bulkhead, the steel floor plate I refer to and how they fit together. BTW this van doesn't have the upper steel mesh section.

This Ebay seller shows a picture of the back of his van and you can clearly see the white vertical plate behind the seats. The ladder frame behind the drivers seat secures to this plate.

I was thinking about James' situation during the course of the day and came to the same conclusion. The bulkhead that Citroen/Peugeot supplied as a factory fitted option gets its strength from the rigidity and strength of the van floor of which it becomes an integral part. The van floor is incorporated into the chassis.

At the moment he has nothing to protect him, not even a flimsy ladder frame bulkhead they fitted as standard in the vans. A Multispace was designed as a people carrier who would be expected to wear seat belts.

To get an engineering company to fabricate a one off bulkhead will probably cost more than the vehicle is worth unfortunately.
